Co-ordinate activities by Location, Time, Type or Status
One of Worksview’s strengths is that it can be used at a local, regional or state wide level as appropriate. Users can zoom out to look at projects across a wide area to identify areas of concern and then zoom in and easily filter and refine the results you wish to see by location, time or project category, thus ensuring that although collaboration could be state or region wide you need never be overwhelmed by volumes of data.
Searches can be targeted to identify the works occurring around a particular intersection or subdivision or all Roading projects on a particular section of Highway. Time based filtering is very simple too, with an easy to use of the slide bar along the bottom of the screen allowing users to narrow results to a particular year, month or even day. Projects are categorised by the major utility types (Gas, Power, Telecommunications etc) allowing you to filter the opportunities displayed to those between, for example, the Roading and Water departments.
On the map to the left, the conflicted projects across the Wisconsin road network are highlighted The name and category of the relevant projects are shown upon hover and greater details (such as Project Owner and dates) are a single click away. As such all stakeholders are prompted to enter into dialogue with other the relevant organisations about co-coordinating activities to reduce cost and inconvenience to all parties.
All of these powerful analytic capabilities mean that as well as the system automatically alerting you via email to new opportunities or conflicts affecting your programme of upcoming works, you are also able to use Workview interactively to make your own additional interpretation of which projects you see collaboration potential with.
