Potential CONFLICTS identify where two or more organisations have planned work in the same area at the same time. By uploading location and timing their projects they expect to undertake over the coming years users are automatically notified by email when another organisation plans work in the same area. Logging onto Workview they will then be able to see relevant details (including contact information) about other projects.

Even more powerfully Workview highlights potential OPPORTUNITES even where there is not a direct overlap. By using a special rules engine Workview will highlight other projects that are planned in the same area but NOT the same time. Traditional conflict detection requires an exact overlap but by recognising organisation’s flexibility with timing of projects beyond this financial year we are able to highlight project which COULD occur at the same thereby enabling time and cost savings for all parties.

Organisations are able to flag their ability to shift the project dates (for example a project may only be programmed to occur within a financial year). By doing so, opportunities for collaboration between potential partners are instantly visible to all stakeholders. Constraints on dependent projects can also be flagged.
