How This One Breakthrough Tool Can Help You Achieve "Dig Once"!
As you create each project in your Forward Works Programme, in addition to entering the start and end dates that define your project and which allow the Gantt view of the prior screen, you can also draw a polygon that defines that particular project's locus. By giving each of your projects a geospatial locus, you can then use the "Gantt and Map View Integration" functionality of our companion T3 module (See screen image of that title under the T3 tab). This functionality in T3 allows all of your CAR's, TMP's, and Forward Works projects to be filtered both geospatially and temporally — simply by using the Gantt timeline sliders that are conveniently built into T3. Users can additionally draw a polygon on the map to further limit the display to only those projects that occur within the boundaries of that polygon. In one glance, using this functionality, users can actually see on the map all the potential wasteful and costly conflicts that might be there in upcoming projects occurring in a particular slice of time — whether they are projects to be undertaken by the Roading department, the Water Department, or the local Utility. Collaboration becomes a practical reality.
