Gantt Time Line Functionality
Once you have created all of your projects and their associated timelines, you can quickly display (using the Project Schedule functionality button found under the Resource tab on the left side of the screen) the traditional Gantt timeline views of your projects, tasks, subtasks, (and even their subtasks). One nice feature is that there are timeline sliders at the top of the page that allow you to precisely control the time period you want displayed. In addition, you can filter projects by any word in the project, task, or subtask title. So, for example, if you want to see all projects — whether from the Roading Department or the Water Department — that involve a certain street, you would just type that street name in, and adjust the time sliders for the period you are interested in. Projects can also be color coded — for example water projects are one color and road departments are another. This can also help to spot project conflicts.
Additionally, this same functionality can be used to examine the commitments of your resources. Simply click the Resource Schedule button.
